PREBIOTICS

Prebiotics are a form of dietary fiber that feed the “friendly” bacteria in your gut. This allows your gut bacteria to produce nutrients for your colon cells, which leads to a healthier digestive system.

Dietary prebiotics are typically nondigestible fiber compounds that pass undigested through the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract and stimulate the growth or activity of advantageous bacteria that colonize the large bowel by acting as substrate for them. As a functional food component, prebiotics, like probiotics, are a conceptual intermediary between foods and drugs. The consumption of prebiotics was shown to decrease the risk of development, as well as the severity of allergic skin diseases, such as atopic dermatitis

Fermland Bio Offers Following Prebiotics:

01 INULIN

Inulin is a type of prebiotic. It’s not digested or absorbed in the stomach. It stays in the bowel and helps certain beneficial bacteria to grow. Inulin is a starchy substance found in a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, including wheat, onions, bananas, leeks, artichokes, and asparagus. The inulin that is used in supplements most commonly comes from soaking chicory roots in hot water.

02 GALACTO-OLIGOSACCHARIDES (GOS)

Galacto-oligosaccharides are made up of plant sugars linked in chains. They are found naturally in dairy products, beans, and certain root vegetables. People use galacto-oligosaccharides as prebiotics. Galacto-oligosaccharides are most commonly used for stomach disorders such as constipation and for preventing allergies in infants. They are also used for colon and rectal cancer, upper airway infections, and other conditions. GOSs can greatly stimulate Bifidobacteria and LactobacilliBifidobacteria in infants have shown high incorporation with GOS.

03 FRUCT-OOLIGOSACCHARIDES (FOS)

Fructooligosaccharides are subtly sweet and low-calorie. They are nondigestible, so they don’t have an effect on blood sugar levels. FOS may also have multiple health benefits.
